More bitter cold to start off Thursday morning, however on a bright note, we will have more sunshine out there today which will allow for temperatures to get about 20 degrees warmer by the afternoon.

Daytime high temperatures Thursday should crack the 50 degree mark across the area.

Thursday night, that heat will be quick to leave us under mostly clear skies, with temperatures plummetting right back into the mid 20s.

A cold front will pass through overnight bringing Friday's high temperature back down into the low 40s.

We should slowly warm up over the weekend with temperatures getting into the upper 40s on Saturday and lower 50s by Sunday.

We are watching early next week very closely as a low pressure system is developing and expected to bring some rain to the end of 2012.

I think rain chances are pretty good for Monday into Tuesday and may even linger into Wednesday depending on how slowly this system moves.

Temperatures in the early part of next week will be chilly with the overcast skies, however, it is not looking like they will be cold enough to produce any snowfall in the area.
