Cause of Downtown Fire Still Under Investigation

At approximately 4:20 a.m. a call was placed to 911 for a structure fire in the 300 block of Ash St.

Upon arrival, there was heavy smoke showing from the structure.

Once on the scene, fire department personnel quickly extinguished the fire.

Fire investigators are investigating this fire as a possible arson.

There were no injuries in relation to this fire, to citizens or Fire Personnel. In all 4 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, Battalion 1, Field Resource Medic and Arson Investigator responded to this call.

Damage cost to the building is estimated to be in the $5,000 range.
