By: Press Release
Updated: December 28, 2012
During the month of January, the Comptroller's office will conduct 18 free taxpayer seminars across the state.

At these seminars, taxpayers can learn how to properly fill out tax forms, and file and pay taxes electronically.

Information about e-services will also be available to help taxpayers manage their accounts online.
Comptroller representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide assistance to attendees.

"We want to empower Texas business owners by making resources and information accessible. Conducting these seminars and making our team of tax specialists available provides guidance for businesses," said R.J. DeSilva, spokesperson for the Comptroller's office.

The Abilene seminar will be held on Tuesday, January 29 at the Texas Tech Small Business Development Center on 500 Chestnut Street in Suite 601 from 6 to 8 p.m.

A complete list of locations, dates and times of the taxpayer seminars is available at www.window.state.tx.us/taxinfo/seminars.html.

Those who are unable to attend the seminars can call the Comptroller's tax assistance line at 1-800-252-5555.

Tax forms and tax information can also be found on the Comptroller's website, www.window.state.tx.us.
