7/11 Store Clerk Assaulted By Customer

A 7/11 store clerk in Abilene is pressing assault charges after being hit by a customer Friday evening.

It happened at the 7/11 convenience store in the 2700 block of N. 1st St. around 5 p.m. Friday.

According to a police report, the female suspect and her husband were buying beer when the clerk and the husband started joking around, upsetting the suspect, who apparently hit the clerk in the face.

Police do have surveillance footage of the suspect.
