Thieves Bring Hardship to Local Car Dealer

A local car dealership opened Monday morning to discover that one of its cars was missing.

Mike Hall, the owner of Cross Road Motors on North 1st, says the suspects broke-in through the back window and broke through another door.

They took a 1999 GMC Suburban after attempting to take another car, but the unknown suspects made away with more than just the vehicle.

"This break-in couldn't have hit us at a harder time," says Hall. They stole all of our keys to all of our vehicles, so 21 keys. And so, with the buying, we've been doing so much buying here lately, we were unable to get the copies made on the keys."

The thieves also took several items and wrecked the office.

APD is still investigating.
