Billy Wade took the office of Stephens County Sheriff Monday night, amid criticism from outgoing sheriff, Dan Young. Both men were cordial during the proceedings.

Wade has been surrounded in controversy after last November's incident at the Breckenridge Golf Course. Wade says he refuses to talk about the incident. No charges were filed and both men say they know nothing about an investigation into the matter.
