On January 1 at about 4:30 p,m,, APD responded to an assault call at a business at the Mall of Abilene.

A female notified APD dispatch that she had been sexually assaulted at a business. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was an adult female who was a patron at a business that provides massages.

She alleged that, during a massage, a male employee of the business sexually assaulted her.

The known male subject was contacted and positively identified as the subject involved in the alleged assault.

The investigation led to the arrest of the male subject who was arrested on a charge of felony sexual assault.

This investigation is currently on-going. The male subject arrested was Jingbo Xu, 47. He is currently at the Taylor County Jail with a $100,000 bond.

Mr. Xu worked at Li Sun's Acupressure & Massage located inside the Mall.

APD is working with Mall of Abilene's management to help reassure them about these circumstances, and in turn, reassure the public that this appears to have been an isolated incident.

Out of an abundance of caution we are reaching out to the public by asking them to report any information they may have related to this incident or any similar incident.
