Reward for Local Fugitive Raised to Over $17,000

By: DPS Press Release
Updated: January 3, 2013
The reward for Jesus Alberto Villegas, 33, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and this month's featured fugitive, has increased to $17,500 for information leading to his capture if the tip comes in during the month of January.

He is currently wanted for Sexual Assault of a Child, Felony Theft, and Prohibited Weapons Violation. Texas Crime Stoppers tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

He was last seen in 1998 in Abilene and has active warrants issued by the Taylor County Sheriff's Office. He also has family in the Dallas area.

For more information on Villegas, view his wanted poster at: http://www.dps.texas.gov/Texas10MostWanted/fugitiveDetails.aspx?id=39.

Villegas is 5 feet 11 inches tall and was last known to weigh approximately 145 pounds. The photo above was taken in 1998. He has a tattoo on his back and has been known as "Pecas."

One offender from the Texas 10 Most Wanted Program is featured each month in hopes the higher reward money from the Governor's Criminal Justice Division will generate additional tips. The higher reward amount will only be paid if the tip comes in the same month the fugitive is featured.

All calls, texts, e-mails and Facebook tip messages are anonymous.
