Two Cousins Killed, Father & Son Injured in Deadly Jones Co. Wreck

Two men are dead and two others are in the hospital after a violent car wreck in Jones County early Sunday morning.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a father, his two sons and a nephew were heading east on Hwy. 180 near FM 600 toward Graham, Texas after leaving a funeral in Seminole, Texas.

DPS said the driver, 16-year-old Christopher Alaniz of New Home, near Lubbock, fell asleep at the wheel and the SUV went off the road, going airborne off an embankment and into a ditch.

Two passengers were killed -- 23-year-old Eric Alaniz and 24-year-old Bobby Beavers.

The driver, Christopher, is in stable condition at Hendrick Medical Center.

The father of Christopher and Eric, Pete Alaniz, 47, is in serious condition.
