Man Arrested after Police Chase

An Abilene man is under arrest Monday afternoon after leading police on a foot chase.

Abilene police arrested 49-year-old Jackie Chan after he tried to escape and hide  from officers following a traffic stop in south Abilene.

It happened on Ridgemont Drive in front of Casa Herera Mexican restaurant.

The suspect fled on foot before being caught behind the Fairmont Inn just down the street.

Chan was arrested on suspicion of DWI and for evading arrest.
