HPU Assistant Helps Out In Germany

BROWNWOOD, Texas - Howard Payne assistant head football coach Hunter Sims recently spoke at the 2nd annual Schwbisch Hall Unicorns Christmas Football Clinic in Schwabisch Hall, Germany.
 
Great interest was shown for the 2nd annual Schwbisch Hall Unicorns Christmas Football Clinic with 60 coaches from all over Germany attending to hear the five speakers.
 
"I am very thankful for the opportunity to be able to speak at the Unicorn Clinic in Schwabisch Hall, Germany," said Hunter Sims. "It is a very humbling experience having played for the Unicorns in 2007 and to be asked to come speak at the Unicorn Christmas Clinic representing Howard Payne University."
 
Hunter Sims, who has been with the HPU football program for four seasons, spoke about "Defensive backs - Techniques and Coverages."
 
The Schwabisch Hall Unicorns have won back to back German Championships in the GFL (German Football League). The GFL is the highest level of football in Germany.
 
Sims added, "The town of Schwabisch Hall, Germany has been so good to me it is nice to give back in any way possible."
 
Also speaking was Jordan Neuman, the Offense Coordinator of the Austrian master Vienna Vikings. He lectured on which he himself initiated in Vienna "7-on-7 Passing League" and the theme "Developing the European Passer".
 
John Brenner, head coach of the Unicorns Youth A team, and his Defense Coordinator Jan Schreiber talked about "The New Old School-triple option in the Spread Gun" and "4-3 Front Seven - Stopping the Run".
 
Schwbisch Hall Unicorns coach Siegfried Gehrke, spoke on "Concept Passing Unicorns Style".
