A wet day is on tap for the Big Country and
Heartland. Heaviest amounts of rain
will fall east of Abilene, with 1 to 3 inches expected in the Big Country. The bulk of the rain will fall throughout
the first half of today before slowly tapering off this evening. Wednesday will be windy as well with
sustained winds anywhere between 15 and 25 miles per hour. Light showers are possible Thursday morning
with overcast skies forecasted for the afternoon. More sunshine is expected on Friday with highs pushing 70
degrees. A strong cold front moves through
the state on Saturday, dropping temperatures into the 40's and 50's.
