Update: MetroCare Truck Involved in Collision

There was a collision around 9:50 Thursday morning on the corner of South 1st and Sayles involving a pickup truck and a MetroCare ambulance.

Officials at the scene gathered that the ambulance was traveling east on South 1st, while the truck was traveling straight onto Sayles, however, not enough information was available at the time to determine fault.

Officials are waiting to speak with a witness who was at the scene to try to gather more information.

The ambulance was not carrying a passenger and the lights and siren were not active at the time of the accident.

The pickup was occupied by a sole female driver, age 39, and there were no reported injuries to either her or the ambulance drivers.
