Woman Injured after Strange Accident

A woman is in the hospital after a bizarre accident earlier Thursday afternoon.
It happened around 2-o'clock at the intersection of 5th and Victoria when, according to the Taylor County Sheriff's Office, deputies were following a car that was under suspicion of drugs.
While being followed, the passenger fell out of the vehicle, knocking herself unconscious, and the vehicle fled the scene.
At this point, the sheriff's office isn't sure if the woman was pushed or if she willingly jumped from the car.
She was transported to the hospital and the driver was found and detained a few blocks from the scene.
