Sign Up for Steam-N-Wheels Bike Race and Fun Ride

The twenty-first annual Steam-N-Wheels Bike Race and Fun Ride will take place Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m.

The event will begin and end at Nelson Park. Three distances will be available to choose from: a 48-mile race/tour course along with 32-mile or 12-mile fun ride courses. 

The event is open to all ages and participants may race for awards or ride for fun. Awards will be presented to the first three places in each age division for the 48-mile race only. 48-miles racers will be timed by Cadence Sports.

The per-registration entry fee is $25 per person through March 22. Entries are being accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the City of Abilene Community Services Office located at 633 Walnut.

Entries will also be accepted the day of the event for $30 at the Abilene Zoo Adventure Center entrance in Nelson Park from 7:30-9:45 a.m. A free Tshirt will be given to the first 200 entrants. 

Helmets will be required for all participants.

This event is sponsored by the City of Abilene Recreation Division, Abilene Bicycling Club, Abilene Regional Medical Center Senior Circle and Willis Supply.
