Former Escapee Pleads out of Trial

Dustin Bates plead guilty to a drug charge for which he will serve 15 years.
The escape charge will be dropped.
In November of 2011, Bates climbed a fence at the jail to get out.
He then stole a car from the State Supported Living Center and led police on a high-speed chase.
Police captured him at loop 322 and Interstate 20.
Bates is currently serving a 48-month prison sentence in federal prison.
