A Massachusetts high school principal and media teacher have been suspended after showing students a parody video based on the popular "Terminator" movie series.

Everett High School principal Erick Naumann appeared in the video as "The Naumannator".

He claimed it was a way to introduce himself to students after taking the job at Everett High School.

Everett school superintendent Frederick Foresteire announced the two day suspensions after parents voiced concern over the tone and timing of the video in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.

Other parents and students spoke out to show their support of Naumann, saying they appreciated that he was working to find creative ways to connect with students.
