There's no music at The Shootin' Shop in Abilene, just news.

It's all they've been watching lately.

Employees at the gun store want to make sure they're caught up with everything that's going on when it comes to gun control.

"We don't want to be ignorant with the gun laws either or with what the president has in mind," said Cory Row, who works at the shop.

Guns are usually the topic of discussion here, but never to this magnitude.

"You don't know whats going to happen so its better to have them  just in case it does  then not have them and not be able to get them later," said Row.

So everyone here including Tucker Travis is loading up on rifles, ammo and even nine mm hand guns, that is if you can find it.

"I ordered some ammo online, it said it was back ordered until Aug. so it's just tough to find it right now," said Travis.

He bought a gun just two days after the Newtown school shootings.

Now he's back for more.

"Every chance I can get I'm buying ammo because all this talk with the government going to put bans on assault riffles," he said.

Guns aren't just selling fast, they're getting more expensive.

You used to be able to buy this rifle for eight hundred dollars at B&B Guns and Pawn, now it's about twice that.

"And you're seeing prices up to $2500 in some places, said Simon Wolfe, owner of B&B Guns and Pawn.

And people are willing to pay the price.

"I believe I should have the right if anything did happen to protect my family," said Travis.

"I mean it's hard to find a nine mm these days and that's why I'm just trying to get stocked up now," said Simon Camacho.

Because almost everyone here isn't too certain whether they'll have as many options when it comes to guns as they do now.
