Cowgirls To Host Howard Payne

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's basketball team will play a rare single home game on Saturday when it hosts Howard Payne at 3 p.m. at the Mabee Complex.
The 3 p.m. start rather than the normal 1 p.m. start time is because the men rearranged their conference schedule so they could play at Baylor on Saturday.
The Cowgirls come into the game winners of two straight games and HSU is currently 8-8 overall and 6-4 in American Southwest Conference action. Howard Payne is 14-2 on the year and 9-1 in ASC West action.
HSU, who has recently lost three starters to knee injuries, hit a season-best 11 3-pointers in a 74-53 win over Sul Ross State on Thursday night. Becca Chagnon had her first career double-double in the game.
