SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The McMurry University men's basketball team will continue Heartland Conference play when they take on St. Mary's University on Saturday.

The War Hawks come into the contest at 10-3 having dropped their previous game to Texas A&M international University, 78-70, on Thursday. In that contest, Takoby Jackson led all scorers with 24 points. Alfred Perez added 14 points and Antonio Bell finished with 13.

In the contest against the Dustdevils, McM blew an 11-point second-half lead, as they hit just one shot from the field (a dunk by Jackson with nine seconds left) in the final 9 minutes of the contest.

Over six games against conference opponents this season, the War Hawks are currently 3-3. The team is 2-0 at home, but just 1-3 on the road against Heartland Conference foes. Jackson is leading the way for McMurry in conference play, scoring 16 points per game on 46 percent shooting. Bell and Perez are also averaging double figures in conference play. Bell is scoring at an 11.2 average, while Perez is scoring 10.2 per contest.

On the other side of the ball, The Rattlers come into the game with an 11-3 record, having beaten St. Edward's Univeristy in their previous contest. In the game, Christian Bower led the team in points, scoring 18. Kevin Kotzur also had a good game, scoring 16 while pulling down 13 rebounds.

Over the course of the season, Kotzur has been the team's leader, averaging a double-double on the year. Through 14 games, Kotzur is averaging 18 points and 11.1 rebounds. Daryell Taylor is averaging 12.5 points per game and Moses Sundufu is also averaging double figures, scoring 10.4 per contest.
