Cooper Falls In District Nail Biter

The Cooper Cougars fell Friday night in a tough match-up against district co-leader Permian.
Cooper would get on the board first against the Panthers when they found Juvon Banks under the basket.
Permian would answer though with an alley-oop from Robert Thomas to Keovion McCalop.
Despite the Panthers being the favorite to win the match-up, the Cougars were able to hang around. In part due to plays down low by Banks.
In the end Permian would hit a basket late in the forth quarter that would prove to be the difference in a 50-48 victory for the Panthers.
