Wylie was able to pull away from Sweetwater Friday night to pick up another big district victory.

The Mustangs were the first to strike. It would come from a hard-fought basket down low by Caleb Hoover.

Then the Bulldogs started to pile on the points. First with a three-pointer by Mike Lopez to give Wylie the lead.

A little later, Lopez was able to turn defense into offense after a steal, and a layup at the other end. That would just be part of a 19 point night for Lopez.

The guard was able to generate more points off of defense later in the game. Lopez came up with the steal but then was stripped in the paint on the other side. Unfortunately for Sweetwater the ball landed right in the lap of Deandre Key; who put the ball right in the hoop.

Wylie was able to pull away from there and pick up a 51-28 victory over Sweetwater.
