Gun Stores see Rush for "Appreciation Day"

Saturday's are usually busy for the Shootin' Shop. But this Saturday, the rush of customers is a litte bit more than normal.

"We've had an influx of customers as part of the National Firearms Day," said salesman Cory Row.

And those customers are shopping for a  reason.

"Just to support their gun rights and show that we don't want to give up our guns and we like having guns," Cory explained.

As part of  "Gun Appreciation Day," people all over the country are showing their support, and buying more than just guns.

"We sell a lot of reloading supplies and people are coming in for that for sure," Cory said. "We're selling a lot of ammunition and quite a few firearms today as well."

But for the Shootin' Shop, it's nice just to know that the community supports them.

"It's been pretty awesome. I mean, it helps us with our business and we still have a great inventory here and we're willing to help anybody find anything they need. And we love people to come in and support us and to support local businesses," said Cory.

And that people are willing to stand up for their rights.

"I feel that it just shows that the people stand behind the constitution," he explained. "And they're going to do what it takes to keep their rights."

As people show their support for Gun Appreciation Day, the Shootin' Shop said they're happy that they're appreciated too.
