Caton and Hutchinson Set School Records At Masked Raider Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons' track teams participated in the Texas Tech Masked Raider Invitational this weekend at the Athletic Training Center in Lubbock and freshmen Bradley Hutchinson and Chad Caton each set school records.
 
Bradley Hutchinson set the school record in the 200 with a 23.07 and Chad Caton ran the one mile in 4:34 to set the school mark.
 
Hutchinson ran a 6.73 in the 55 to place 43rd and also ran a 54.16 in the 400 and Jose Bolanos ran a 54.72, Cedric Miller ran a 55.42 and Luke Wells a 56.62.
 
Paul Demings ran a 2:03.02 in the 800.
 
Derek Footer placed 14th in the finals of the 55 meter hurdles and ran a 7.85. The distance medley team ran a time of 11:18.71.
 
On the women's side, Freshman Shanice Wright ran a 7.58 in the 55 to place 37th and Aaron Livingston ran a 7.92. Wright ran a 28.17 in the 200 and Kami Bellah, Paige Goen and Rachel Allen also competed.
 
Lauren Rodgers ran a 1:04.30 in the 400 to place 38th and was 18th in the 600 with a 1:35.28. Audrey Salter ran a 1:40.46 in the 600.
 
Bellah had 14-10 long jump. None of the throwers had a legal throw.
