Original Story
Law enforcement officers are looking for three men in the western part of the Big Country.
The search began early Monday morning when a Department of Public Safety officer tried to stop a driver for a traffic violation.
The driver of the sport utility vehicle refused to stop and led the officers on a chase that covered parts of Howard, Mitchell and Noland counties.
The three men in the car allegedly shot at the pursuing state trooper and that brought in more officers.
The men reportedly abandoned the SUV and got in another vehicle.
The abandoned SUV was found near mile-marker 230 between Roscoe and Sweetwater in Nolan County.
The men reportedly were in another vehicle, but abandoned that car and ran into the rural area.
There are no reports of any injuries.
