Gas constantly on everyone's mind. Whether the prices go up or down, many are budgeting more to fill up their tank.

"it's a real hardship. We spend probably $20 a day in gas," said Donald Bailey.

But Monday, a few lucky drivers had a lucky break. Donald lives outside of Abilene and he and his friend Chad were picking up furniture when they made a stop at a local Allsups.

"We stopped in here to get a fountain drink," Donald explained. "And I was in there getting it and Chad walked in and said, 'Put ten dollars!'"

And that's when Donald realized how cheap the gas was.

"I walked out to the pump and he's at 20 gallons and it said $6.50," he said.

That's right. Six dollars and fifty cents. By mistake, Allsups was selling gas at just $0.32 a gallon. And the two weren't the only ones cashing in on a good deal.

"Oh, it was crazy! It was only an hour and people were lined up. We were only there five minutes, I know I saw one hundred to one hundred and fifty-five cars," Donald said.

The two filled up in Hawley, only putting in $15 worth into his tank because it was all he could afford while buying furniture for his daughter.

"I work by the week. You know, I don't have a lot of money. And that's all I could come up with to put in this truck. We got to fill up the truck and we'll be able to get her furniture and get back home," Donald said.

And though it won't make a huge difference in the future, Donald says it at least helped with their trip Monday.

Allsups declined to comment because a manager was not present.
