Monday night at about 6, Officers John Clark and Mary Guitar responded to an assault call at a residence in the 6000 block of Holiday Street. The reporting party had notified APD dispatch of two people beating each other up and that this was the second time the subjects, both female, had been involved in a disturbance today. Officers arrived and contacted all involved parties. The preliminary investigation revealed two girlfriends had been in a physical altercation and the female victim had been punched in the head several times. This altercation was witnessed. There were visible injuries to the victim that were consistent with the allegation and the victim appeared visibly upset. The female subject was arrested for Assault Family Violence.

Monday night at about 10:55, officers responded to a noise disturbance call at a residence in the 1300 block of North 7 Street. A calling party had notified APD dispatch of the complaint and reported hearing a subject making a lot of noise at the involved apartment, including the subject yelling. Officer Matthew Allen was the first officer on-scene. Officer Allen reported hearing the male subject yelling profanities and hitting the walls. Prior to arrival, Officer Allen had already learned about previous contacts with the male subject and that the subject had been warned to refrain from future noise violations. Officer Allen also noted that the subject had previously indicated to officers that he would not cease from this type of behavior in the future. Officer Allen contacted the male subject and then attempted to place the subject into custody for the noise violation. The subject retreated and several officers assisted in placing the subject under arrest. The subject struck one of the officers during the arrest. This combative subject required three officers to place him into custody. The subject was arrested for felony Assault on a Peace Officer and for two misdemeanor offenses: Resisting Arrest and Noise Disturbance.
