Danny Calamaco is accused of shooting Steve McCain on the corner of Ambler and Bridge. It happened a little more than two years ago. Calamaco went on the run for three days after the shooting and then turned himself in. Police say it was an argument over a tattoo gun that ended with Calamaco shooting McCain two times. In a jail house interview Calamaco said it was someone else who shot, and that he came out of the house he was living in and chased the suspects car away. He then said he ran from the scene because he knew he would be charged with the shooting. Calamaco was charged with murder this morning.

Calamaco actually participated in selecting his own jury. This process is usually left up to the attorney.
