A witness says she saw a man run over a goose on purpose at Nelson Park.

It was reported Tuesday to Abilene police.

The witness says a man in a truck sped up when he saw the goose in the road, and after hitting the goose he turned around and hit the goose again.

But the driver of the truck did not get away before his make, model of the truck and a license plate number were written down.

A report for animal cruelty was taken.
