Frontier Texas Making Big Changes

By: BCHP News Staff
Updated: January 24, 2013
You can expect some big changes when Frontier Texas opens back up in March.

Artists, electricians, and construction workers were hard at work once again Thursday renovating Abilene's Frontier Texas.

The downtown museum, which allows visitors to revisit the Old West, has been under renovation for several months now.

In addition to the updated indoor museum, an outdoor display of metal running buffaloes on 30-foot tall poles will also be constructed.

"We have crews building sets inside" says Jeff Salmon of Frontier Texas! "We have people working on fine art type projects, and outside, we have a special project, which we are drilling holes and getting ready to put poles in for buffaloes on poles."

The indoor exhibit will open on March 2, which is Texas' Independence Day.
