Jim Ned Boys & Girls Basketball Continues To Excel

By: BCH Sports
Updated: January 25, 2013
The basketball programs at Jim Ned High School continue to excel in 2013. Both the Boys and the Girls are State ranked.

"It just makes basketball so enjoyable for me, knowing I can come in to the gym everyday and we are all ready to compete. We are all ready to make sure that Jim Ned stays feared, and it's something I know I appreciate." Says Senior Katelin Kimmel.

"Everyone is just putting in hard work and doing everything they can to make the team better. It's all a team effort." adds Senior Jake Gleason.

"The rankings are nice, but its only someone elses opinion. They have to be satisfied with what they did that night when they go home and go to bed, and feel good about the effort they put out." adds Girls Head Coach Hunter Cooley.

"They've always had a good program here ever since I've been going here, and I've been going here all my life, so it's been really fun being able to win as many games as we've been able to win since 7th grade all the way up to my senior year." continues Brady Leissner

"Hardwork pays off. The boys and girls, it's really fun that we can both go far, and win big games. It's really fun at school to have everyone be a part of it." says M'Lee Graham.

"We're in the same position we've been in for the last several years. Undefeated in district is something we're real proud of and we'd like to keep that going as long as we can. A real mature team, a senior heavy team, with a sophomore and junior who have stepped in and mixed in with them. It's a year we've looked forward to and hopefully we can keep it going." says Boys Head Coach Steve Bryant.

Both teams taking on Early on Friday as they continue district play. Both teams have high expectations as they have set there sights for March.
