Two Sent to Hospital After SUV Hits Motorcycle

Two people were sent to the hospital Saturday night with life-threatening injuries after a wreck in South Abilene.

The accident happened around 8:20 p.m. Saturday.

According to police on scene, an SUV heading northbound on Treadaway Blvd. was turning onto Butternut St. and struck a motorcycle with two passengers.

Both were transported to Hendrick Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV and the two young children inside were unharmed, police said.

Names of those involved have not been released at this point.
