Abilene Scotts Celebrate Heritage with Dinner

It was a night of bag pipes and haggis at the National Center for Children's Literacy.
 
The Abilene Pipers held their annual Robert Burns dinner fundraiser, commemorating the birthday of the Scottish poet.

A traditional feast was held, including haggis and other Scottish foods. Along with many dressed in kilts.And members of the Abilene Pipers say it's all for the Abilene Scotts.

"We do this every year as a, it's just part of Scottish heritage. There's a lot of Scotts that live here and Abilene and we do it for them, we do it for us and then a lot of other people come along," said Robert Partin, director of the Abilene Pipers.
