A pickup truck driver was hurt in a one-vehicle accident just south of Abilene Monday morning.

The accident happened about 8 o'clock in the morning on Highway 277 near FM 707.

A witness stated that it looked like the trailer went out of control before the truck flipped over.

Volunteer firefighters from View and Buffalo Gap worked to free the driver from the wreckage, and then emergency medical service professionals took the driver to a local hospital.

The trailer was loaded with bags of cement and some of the bags ruptured, causing the dust to scatter around the area.
