The Abilene High Lady Eagles are on their way to the playoffs, but still have plenty of goals remaining.

On Friday night the Lady Eagles locked up the playoff spot with a win over San Angelo Central. That same night all four playoff spots in District 2-5A were locked up. That means without a doubt the Lady Eagles will be playing in the post season.

A goal the team set at the beginning of the season.

"It's a great accomplishment for our kids. It was obviously a goal we set at the beginning of the year. We work every day in practice to accomplish that. So, it's a great feeling for these kids to come in everyday and know they've already accomplished that goal," said head coach Laura Lange.

At the same time, coach Lange's team still have plenty of goals they want to accomplish. That includes moving up in the district standings, as well as getting a twenty win season.

"It's exciting to know that we're in the playoffs, but we're not finished yet. We know that we still want to go for a higher spot in our district, and working hard to get that. We're not just settling with the playoffs," said Katelyn Goodman.

"It feels great to have it done and behind us, but we're not going to settle for just going to the playoffs. We trying to get twenty wins. We're still going for that. We're working really hard to get there," said Tiana Evans.
