The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was called to the scene of a fatal crash in Haskell County Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred at 7:36 a.m. on U.S. Highway 277, 0.2 miles north of the intersection with County road 431.

This is a one-vehicle rollover with one occupant.

Michael Duke Browning, Jr, 31, of Midwest City, Oklahoma was driving a 2011 Kenworth rollback wrecker south bound on U.S. Highway 277 during a rainstorm.

Browning lost control of the vehicle due to driving too fast due to water on the roadway.

The vehicle rolled over and ended up in a field on the west side of the roadway.

Mr. Browning had not been wearing his seat belt and was ejected in the crash.

He was taken to Stamford Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead by doctors.
