Abilene Program Helping Clean-Up Graffiti

By: BCHP News Staff
Updated: January 29, 2013
The amount of graffiti in the Key City is down, and a year-old program may be the reason.

The Graffiti Eradication Program has kids with court-ordered community service paint over buildings, houses and fences to try to lower the amount of tagging done.

The program says it has been successful in the year that it has been operating, saying that the inability to show off their vandalism is the cause for lower reports.

The eradication program does look for graffiti to paint over, but also takes calls from citizens.
