A Cooper High School student is speaking out, after being punched and kicked in the head, repeatedly at school.

The incident was all caught on camera and then posted online. His family found the video and now they're wanting answers.

"The principal called me and told me my son had been in an altercation and that I needed to come pick him up, " Malaka Mosby says.

Mosby is the mother of Jautorian, he's seen in the video wearing a blue shirt. A student wearing a grey shirt, confornts Jautorian and pushes him to the ground and kicks and punches him.

Jautorian was taken to the hospital where the doctors told him he just had some bruises.

"He got hit by a car when he was seven he has epilepsy from that," Mosby says, "Tthe doctors are watching him and making sure he's ok."

Mosby says this isn't the first time something like this has happened.

"We've been on this road a couple times with Jautorian being bullied," Mosby says, "and I'm just ready for it to stop."

Abilene ISD says they're investigating the case, and couldn't give KTAB any more information.

We'll be following this story as it develops.

I am a mother of a student at Cooper. I do not understand why the news keeps showing the censored video and still has not got the other side of the story. BAD REPORTING (NON-REPORTING) on the news stations part.

I think the news extremely unfair these days. I've watched alot of videos where they only interview only ONE side of the story and its just stupid and im sick and tired of it... -N.H

OH... And the news anchor lady IT WAS NOT A BRUTAL BEATING!!!!!! REALLY GIVE US A BREAK WITH YOUR DRAMA TO GET AN AUDIENCE!!!!!!

KLCORY K. January 31, 2013 at 8:38 am

I have the video, and you can clearly hear the kid that got his butt kicked talking [censored] before Dj ever said anything. Someone needs to enhance the sound to hear what was exactly said. This boy's family got to speak so I think its only fair for Dj's to speak. He is my cousin, and EVERYONE can plainly hear the other kid talking [censored], and you can also hear DJ saying that he didnt want to fight him. So this video and the news report is biased. Before you start reporting about something, you should get all the facts.

Miranda M. January 31, 2013 at 12:38 am

If you watch the full video on YouTube, the kid was talking [censored], taking off his backpack and emptying his pockets looking for a fight. He's not so innocent and he was not kicked in the head at all.

Well her voice was heard..and now I want for this to be read. I think its very unfair how there was only one side of the story. This infuriates me deeply. I went to middle school with Jatorian and he did talk alot of smack. He always thought he was the "Big Bad Kid". He bullied me back in seventh grade and even called me harsh nicknames worse than the "N" word most definitely. I also know the other guy. The one throwing blows. What happened was Jatorian was talking smack again and he made DJ mad (the other guy throwing punches) now i know DJ and i most definitely know he is NOT the one to throw punches. It was Jatorian who started the whole thing. He was doing the name calling and insulting and DJ wouldn't have hit him if Jatorian hadn't have SPIT in his face. Yes, he spit in his face. I was there, I saw it. And i'm here to tell about it. Why this makes me so mad is because instead of just interviewing ONE student, why not the ones who witnessed it? I never saw DJ giving his side of the story which makes it very unfair for Jatorian to. I did not believe a word that came out of his mouth. I also caught that little smirk he gave when he commented "He also said the "N" word." Who on earth would do that?? I know i wouldn't have thats for sure. DJ is not having a fair fight. I'm telling this from my heart and what I saw and i hope you guys will understand on how unfair this is for DJ. He is not the one to fight. I'm not either but I'm pretty sure if ANYONE got spit in the face they would start throwing punches exactly like DJ was doing. That is extremely dis-respectful and stupid so it is hard for me to even feel bad for Jatorian. Cooper is a very nice school. Its just people like Jatorian who make drama and casualties in it that makes it look bad. I love cooper. Its the best high school ever to me and I'm trying to enjoy every minute if it before i go but its hard to when people like Jatorian are messing it up. I speak from the heart and i mean every word i say. Believe me. Don't believe me. But think, I surely wouldn't type an extremely long message just to be a no life. I meant every word of it and that is all true believe it or not. Thank you for reading and i hope you understand... -N.H

AND KTAB

KLCORY K. January 30, 2013 at 2:12 pm

I agree GET BOTH SIDES KRBC. I hope the students in the class speak up on what happened before, during and after the fight.

KLCORY K. January 30, 2013 at 1:26 pm

Why is KRBC only getting one side of this fight. Why don't they talk to the witnesses that were in the classroom or to the other boy. This is not and does not even sound like the real story. You could clearly see if you would watch the whole video that the boy who got hit was taking his backpack off and emptying his pockets and him and that girl were calling him out. The other boy was standing there with his hands in his pockets. He still had his backpack on!!!! Hmm if the boy who was hit was so innocent why is he in RAC too-because he started it. There was no adult in the room to stop the argueing. I don't know what you expected the other boy to do. It was either hit or get hit in my opionion. This boy who was hit was the aggressive one in the first place and then he just didn't like the outcome.

If you are going to talk trash....Don't get mad when you get your butt kicked. I bet if the kid that got his butt kicked had won the fight, him and his mom would not be on TV. HMMMM I wonder if the will sue to try to get money? KLCory

I do believe charges should be brought against this young man,I know the parents of the young man that was beaten and they have taught their children to be very respectful and no one can say that bullying does not go on in this school. But to do it to Jautorian and he has alot of health issues is wrong if the school does not take some kind of action against this young man. What if Jautorian had a seizure and something happen to him?Would the school look at it then?Just from the video this young man should have been took into custody immediately.I pray Mr. and Mrs.Mosby get some justice for their son.

jacquelyn s. January 30, 2013 at 1:52 am

What happened to justice for all? What do you have to do to be treated with honor and respect? What happens when the system fails to protect and uphold the "No Bullying Rule"? Who is held responsible when the system that is created to protect children from bullying in schools fails? In America we are taught to write things down and make a report. It is believed by doing so we are presenting the facts and establishing a case. What is the explaination after following all the rules of reporting bullying only to have things escalate. So now thanks to modern technology of cell phones. We now have a whole group of witnesses and reports. Not to mention that when you allow bullying or fights to take place instead of stopping it you are as guilty as the one throwing the punches.

The kid claims to be called names and called the "n" word all the time. This kid walks around calling his friends that and saying it over and over again but when he gets in a fight due to talking trash all of a sudden its a [censored] insult to him. Cooper High School is not full of bullying only full of teenage kids with hot tempers trying to act cool in front of their friends. This is the result of talking trash to someone who doesn't take it lightly. People all over the school talk about this kid talking trash to other students all the time. He starts trouble and now he wants to say he is getting bullied. Administrators at Cooper do everything possible to make the school a safe place but its impossible to be at every place at every moment of the day, Blaming the School is wrong. Im not justifying that the kid should have got beat up but i am saying that he was in the wrong just as much for going looking for trouble.

I attend Cooper High School and have since my freshman year. I have never had a problem with bullying at Cooper. I have known the kid who was hitting the other kid since i have been at Cooper High school. He is not a bad guy. He is a star athlete and tries to get along with people at school. The other kid claimed He was bumped into at the beginning of class and started talking trash. He was saying he wanted to fight and was emptying his pockets and getting prepared to hit the other guy. He just pushed him before he had a chance. This claim that the guy was "brutally beaten" is inaccurate. Things like this do not always happen. Tempers just got out of hand. Its ridiculous that this was blown up to such a huge deal when this kid was purposely trying to fight. I am willing to speak on behave of Cooper High School and say that the school is a perfectly safe place to attend school. If the kid was not trying to start trouble and talk trash to people this would have never happen. In this video its cut and you cant see the beginning nor can you hear the kid talking trash saying he was going to fight and the other kid saying he didn't want to. There is certain stuff you do not say to people. It sets them off. This kid obviously was talking trash to the wrong person this day.
