Hendrick in Urgent Need of Blood

By: BCHP News Staff
Updated: January 30, 2013
Hendrick Medical Center officials have issued an urgent need for blood donations.

Hospital officials say the recent traffic accidents have depleted the supply that was already low because of the flu.

They are asking healthy people to visit the blood bank to donate as soon as possible.

"It would be hard in a big city, but for a community blood center to support the number of traumas that we've had in the last week is very difficult," say hospital representatives, "and so we are in a very critical situation with our blood supply, particularly O - and A -."

There is a blood drive at Abilene Christian University going on until 6 o-clock this evening.
