Do Computers Really Hurt Your Eyes?

It's hard to avoid gluing our eyes to a computer at work or a television screen at home, and though staring at that bright background can cause some eye strain and even headaches, a local Abilene eye doctor tells us it doesn't actually have any detrimental impact on any part of our eyes.
Dr. McAdams does, however, suggest that people take breaks to focus on long distances, and keep artificial tears on hand because while focused at work, many of us forget to blink while at the computer, causing eyes to dry out and become bloodshot.
