The Search Is On For Outstanding Senior Volunteer

By: Brendaliss Gonzalez
Updated: January 30, 2013
The search is on for a senior citizen who should be recognized for their volunteerism.
and the prize is big!

The 2nd Annual Salute to Senior Service contest begins Feb. 1.

Anyone can vote for a senior who they think goes above and beyond through their community service.

It's sponsored by home instead.

There's a branch in Abilene and workers there think the next winner should be from the Big Country.

You can vote online at www.salutetoseniorservice.com or mail in an application available on the website.

Winners will be chosen from each state.

They'll win a $500 cash prize for the program of their choice.

The national winner will receive $5000d dollars to donate.

We'll be following some of the seniors who are nominated around here, so you can get to know them better and possibly cast your vote.
