City's Recycling Center to Expand Hours of Operation

Beginning Sunday, Feb. 10, the City's Environmental Recycling Center (ERC) will expand its hours of operation. The new operating hours are:

Sunday- Closed
Monday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"We are happy to offer extended hours of operation at the City's Environmental Recycling Center," said Director of Public Works Megan Santee. "The new hours will encourage citizens to take full advantage of the ERC's products and services."

The ERC plans to further extend hours of operation this upcoming summer. For more information about ERC programs and services, visit http://www.abilenetx.com/SolidWasteServices/recycle.htm or call the City's Solid Waste Services at 325-676-6053. The ERC is located at 2209 Oak St.
