Gas Prices Climbing, Expected to Continue

By: BCHP News Staff
Updated: February 1, 2013
There is some bad news at the gas pumps.

The cost of gasoline has gone up during the last few days, and will likely continue to climb.

Most Abilene stations are selling the lowest grade of self-serve gasoline for $3.25 per gallon.

The cost is approaching $4 per gallon in some areas of the country.

Analysts say many refineries are switching over to the summer blend, and that is reducing the gasoline inventory.

The cost will likely continue to climb for a few more weeks. Crude oil prices have been relatively stable at slightly less than $100 per barrel during the past seveal weeks.
