A hostage crisis continues in southern Alabama.

A man shot and killed a bus driver, kidnapped a 5-year-old boy and slipped into an underground bunker near Midland City.

Police say the suspect has shown no indication of turning himself over to police.

Neighbors say Jimmy Lee Dykes is known for erratic and strange behavior.

Hostage negotiators have acknowledged that he could hold out for days in the bunker.

The child reportedly is named Ethan. He has been asking for his parents.
