Investigation Leads to 18 Indictments in Organized Crime

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has been investigating a crime ring for over a year resulting in the indictment of eighteen defendants by the Eastland County grand jury for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. These indictments stemmed from the defendant's involvement in the distribution of methamphetamine.

Agents from the DPS CID in Abilene arrested and charged and the grand jury indicted the following for their involvement in the crime ring; Johnny Rasco of Dallas, TX, Kyle Ross of Rowlett, TX, Shawn Gautney, Terry Tate, Holly Gordon, Troy Hall, Joseph "Gus" Mays and Riley Clint Marks of Coleman, TX, Judah Reese, Amy Chambers, Jason Fain, Timothy Gauch, Delores "Rocky" Moore, Richmond Russell, Troy Shelton and Justin White of Abilene, TX, Steven Nottingham of Houston County, Georgia, and Krystin Danae Markham of Rowlett, TX.

In January of 2013, Joseph "Gus" Mays pled guilty to a 30 year sentence for his involvement in the crime ring in the 91st District Court of Eastland County. Additional arrests are anticipated in this ongoing investigation.
