After we wrapped up the final broadcast, the sledge hammers really did come out. It was time to get to work.
KRBC News director, Kevin Osgood, says it was time to get out with the old and in with the new.
"This is really exciting because KRBC is a high energy newscast and we've sort of been handicap with our set in years past", says Osgood.
The transition was a bit rough at times, and while we set up shop in a temporary studio, the anticipation for a top to bottom KRBC makeover was enough to keep us going.
"We're really looking forward to putting this tool to use, to tell the people of Abilene and the Big Country about what's happening in their community", explains Osgood.
From the production control room, to the weather center, and the desk where we go live to join you from every night of the week, Abilene's local news is proud to begin a new year, a new KRBC.
