Experience the glitz and glam of Hollywood on February 23 as the Abilene Philharmonic celebrates the Oscars and the sensational music they have provided. Don't be late for the celebration - it begins at 8 p.m. at the Abilene Civic Center.

Since 1934, our most beloved songs have been Oscar winners or have come from an Academy Award winning movie. Selections on this evening's concert include music from Titanic, An Officer and a Gentleman, Rocky, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Godfather, Gone with the Wind, Chariots of Fire and many more! Guest artists, Michele Ragusa and Sean MacGlaughlin, come straight from Broadway to help create a night of magic and excitement.

Ms. Ragusa has Broadway credits that include Young Frankenstein, as Elizabeth, succeeding Megan Mullally; Ragtime; Titanic; Urinetown; Cyrano and A Class Act. Ms. Ragusa recently created the role of Dixie Leonard in the Premier production of For the Boys (based on the film starring Bette Midler). She has also received rave reviews for her performance as Lilli/Kate in Paper Mill's production of Kiss Me Kate, as well as for her portrayal of the Witch in Into the Woods directed by Moises Kauffman. In addition, Ms. Ragusa has won the Barrymore Award and received both Lortel and Drama League nominations for her performance as Corinna in Christopher Durang's Adrift in Macao at Primary Stages in New York City.

Sean MacLaughlin has appeared on Broadway as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera (and seen across US and Canada in the Final National Tour), Lestat, The Woman in White and Bombay Dreams. Mr. MacLaughlin's Off Broadway credits include: The Audience and Requiem for William with the multi award-winning Transport Group; South Pacific: In Concert from Carnegie Hall.
