Webcast: Mayor Norm Archibald Speaks to Texas Senate, House

Abilene Mayor Norm Archibald is in Austin to participate in a hearing with members of the Texas senate and house of representatives.

Archibald was invited to testify during a meeting of the joint committee on natural resources. 

City officials report that the mayor will discuss the unique challenges that the city has for developing future water supplies.

The committee is working on developing a new state water plan and for dealing with the continuing drought.

The mayor will be speaking about ensuring a water supply for the future viability of west Texas.
