The Lady Eagles found themselves down by two early in the game in Amarillo. A basket by Katelyn Goodman would help tie the game for AHS.
A short time later, Goodman once again found the bottom of the net. She would get the foul as well for the old-fashioned three point play. That would give the Lady Eagles a lead.
Then the Lady Eagles turned defense into offense, especially Sham Hunter. She was able to steal a Tascosa inbound pass, and then take it in for the score. That would continue to stretch the Abilene High lead.
Dispite a slow start in the first quarter, the Lady Eagles would eventually pull away and double up Amarillo Tascosa.
They would pick up the 60-35 victory on Tuesday night, and will enter the playoffs as the fourth seed out of Class 2-5A.
