Updated: February 6, 2013
We have an update on the Breckenridge shelter dog who is now at his new home, and new job, in Georgia.

Touchdown was picked up by his new owner at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport two weeks ago.

Since then, he's been undergoing training in the Georgia mountains as a search and rescue canine so he can become certified.

Before that, the chocolate lab had been calling the Stephens County Animal Shelter home.

"He's doing wonderful with her," says Kathy O'Shields of the Stephens Co. Humane society, "He just did helicopter training and wasn't scared at all, so he's passed that part and we hope he can pass all of his certifications to become a rescue dog.

Touchdown's new owner, who lives in Atlanta, saw his photo on the humane society's facebook page, fell in love him and decided to adopt him.
